Spectrum Noir

I really have neglected this website for too long and I apologise.  I have some exciting news to share, and that is that I am now and official Spectrum Noir Accredited Colorist.  If you haven't come across Spectrum Noir before, be sure to take a look on their webpage.  I will be running a workshop very soon in the Coventry area so get in touch if this is something you are interested in learning about.  By the end of the workshop you WILL be able to colour in images like a professional, and your images will almost look printed.  With the right tools and materials you will always get those professional results that you didn't think you would ever manage.  Please get in touch if you would like me to email you the details once I have the venue confirmed.

Earlsdon Festival

Thought I'd pop on to post a quick update.  I am going to be at Earlsdon Festival tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday) selling cards and craft supplies.  I am just finishing off some of my Rule Britannia cards which are perfect for jubilee party invites, or even for sending to Her Majesty herself!  I will be outside Tinderbox Toys, opposite Zafiri's coffee shop along Earlsdon High Street.  There will be lots of activities for all ages so come and say hello!

Rule Britannia!

Just managed to finish off the card that we will creating at next week's card class at Allesley Park Community Centre.  Feeling very patriotic!!

Networking

Just been to a great networking session with Mums The Boss Coventry today, met lots of lovely women running small businesses and Andrea and Leigh ran a really useful workshop on Twitter.  Just realised that I need to put a 'follow me' button on here for both Facebook and Twitter so please do join me there for updates of what's going on at The Make House.  I will also add some of these small businesses to my links page so please pay them a visit and support them if you possibly can.

I finished a sock monkey last night that a friend had asked me for.  Hadn't made one for a while but really enjoyed making it, despite having a battle with my sewing machine for a while as it was refusing to sew with the correct tension.

It's not the best photo as it was rather late when I took it but you get the idea.  I know a couple of people have asked about me running this as a workshop in the past so please leave me a message, or drop me an email (or even tweet me!!) and I will think about getting it up and running.

Just had the new A Year with Humphrey{'s Corner} CD-Rom delivered from Crafter's Companion today so off to have a little play before the school pick-up!
